Welcome to the cognitive assessment section of the study.

Please read the below instructions carefully and then press the “Start” button once you are ready.

The cognitive assessment
Once you press the “Start” button, you will be presented with a series of 14 cognitive tasks. The tasks are designed to look at your planning, learning, reasoning, verbal and attentional abilities, and working memory. After each task you will also be asked to rate how well you think you did on that task.

Timings
Each task shouldn’t take longer than a couple of minutes to run through and the entire assessment should take you around 45 min to complete. We ask if you could please try and complete the entire series of tasks in one session. If you need a break, please take one now, before starting. If you do become very tired during the cognitive assessment and need a break then, you can do so in between the tasks. Try not to stop while performing a task, but only at the end of it. If you lose internet connection, hitting refresh or returning via the link when your connection is restored should continue the assessment from where it had progressed to.

Device
It’s better if you perform these tasks at your desktop computer, laptop, or tablet if you own one. Alternatively, you can use your smartphone but please do avoid this option if you are able to.
